Yes, I did Chuck Martin (I think). We were all young in late teens,
but excited and anxious to get in the thick of things that were happening
then. Most of the boys went into the Army, but a few joined the Navy and
Air Force. Two were killed in the service and one was wounded badly, lost his leg (that was Chuck). I still write to an English lady that married a sailor from our group. Her husband passed away a few years ago. I think of that wonderful nite so often, and especially when I see the North star... We've all gotten on with our lives and sadly haven't kept in touch. I often wonder whether they have webbies or a puters??
Like my Hubby and I, they probably have moved all over now and I
wouldn't know where to find them..sooo, I just look at our star and wish
them well where ever they may be... |
